Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx is known for being the third largest park in New York City and for its variety of recreational opportunities. It is also known for its extensive trail system, which is popular among runners and hikers. Additionally, the park is home to the Van Cortlandt House Museum, which is the oldest surviving building in the Bronx and was once the home of a prominent colonial-era family.
